Wow. I felt a surge of relief when I clicked the "submit" button. Why? Well, look at the number of groups and layers I added/worked on for this meme:
Groups: 13. Outlines and colors combined.
Layers: 102. Yeah ummm...I don't have my right hand anymore. It's kind of dead now.
On the other hand, though, I cannot explain how much fun I had making this. It's my first meme I post so far, and naturally, I got all hyped up about drawing and coloring it. I'm pretty pleased with the results, and I experimented with Corel Painter Essentials a lot. I learned some pretty neat stuff. I tried working on this as quickly as possible, but due to my procrastinating, the deadline was a bit off. Let's see... I started this on the 15th of July, and finished August 2nd.
To me, this was also a bit of a "school" project. You see, whenever the teachers hand us a long-term assignment, I sometimes give myself little breaks while working on it, like going on my laptop.
Yeah. That's exactly what I was doing throughout this meme. Oh well...I'm a procrastinator.
NAOW IT'S TIME FOR DESCRIPTIONS!
1) I apologize to all those Claude fangirls, but honestly, I don't like this guy. He stole Ciel away from Sebastian, and pissed Sebastian off. I mean, really? Not to mention that he killed Alois. (I don't care if he's a slutty, manwhore. I still have feels for the poor kid.)
2) SQUEEEE This has got to be my favorite one. Sebastian's my all time, favorite character. He's a bit of a challenge for me to draw, but I think this is my best doodle of him so far. So the meme requested to draw that character in spandex. After some thinking, I decided I'd used Zero Suit Samus for reference. The result: a butler wearing a skin-tight Metroid outfit. Might I just admit that Sebastian looks totally badass with a gun?
3) Grell's just perfect. I mean, who can beat a gender confused, ginger shinigami?
4) For this one, I looked in the manga for reference. I didn't want to draw Ciel bulging with cakes... (Everyone so far has done that.) I was aiming for something cuter, more chibi. I did manage to make him look like he was full, but not about to explode.
5) OOC grim reapers are hilarious. Even so, I couldn't imagine Grell quitting on Sebastian and someone else replacing the Undertaker. No one's better than that crazy guy.
6) No...just no. I'm not into yaoi at all. Sorry! I can't help it. I picture guys as friends, nothing more than that. French kissing and ughh...I can't even continue.
7) Prince Soma's phrase I actually got from the manga. It's during that Curry Contest when Finny and Bardroy stumble across elephants, and Soma explains what they are and how he has a ton of them back home.
8) EIGHT WAS SO AWESOME THAT IT WASN'T INCLUDED.
